We attended Canine Capers on the 13th June at The Helix. Despite the rain and cold weather we had a great day and met loads of lovely dogs and their owners. Thank you to Save A Staffie Scotland for help with transporting our stuff and Elaine Henley at Animal Behaviour Clinic & Take the Lead Dog School for joining us on our stall.
As part of the ‘Support Adoption For Pets’ fundraising we went along to Pets at Home in Irvine today (10th May). We are so grateful to the store for their support over the years and for taking us on as their charity this year. As part of the link up, all the money raised from raffle tickets during the ‘support adoption for pets’ campaign comes to Adopt A Boxer Scotland. Thank you to the staff for having us along today, we hope to be back along soon. As you can see from the photos their were a couple of lovely dogs in the store today as well.
On the 18th April 2015 we attended the Glasgow Vet School Rodeo for the 3rd year running. The event is organised by the vet students each year, it is a large fun day with activities for all the family, dog shows and charity/business stalls. The weather was kinder to us this year (last year we lost a gazebo to gale force winds) and it was a bright sunny day. We had a good day and enjoyed getting to meet and chat to lots of people and dogs. A full album of photos can be found on our facebook page.
We are delighted to announce we have our first event booked for 2016! We will be hosting a seminar, Dogs that Bite and Fight with David Ryan in Glasgow on 19th March 2016. Location to be confirmed but will likely be in close to the city centre. David had 26 years of experience as a police dog handler before obtaining Southampton University’s postgraduate diploma in companion animal behaviour counselling. You can find out more about David on his website. We are really excited about this, David is an excellent speaker and having attended one of his seminars in the past we can’t recommend it highly enough! If you would like to be kept up to date with things like venue and where to buy tickets…

Our volunteer Ewan is doing Tough Mudder in a couple of weeks and raising funds for AABS. Tough Mudder is a 12 mile race with obstacles…he will be dunked in ice baths, electrocuted, up to his waist in mud… He is a little late in setting up his Just Giving page, had to be nagged at, but if you would like to sponsor him you can text EWAN56 £10 to 70070 or visit his Justgiving Page https://www.justgiving.com/ewanaabs.
